TBS Choir

Our Temple B’rith Sholom choir is lead by our choir director, Nicole DelGiorno. She works closely with our seven member volunteer choir and the Rabbi to plan, practice, and perform musical selections to enhance our worship experience.  The choir and organist participate at most Friday evening services throughout the active calendar year, except during the summer months.

Temple B’rith Sholom has developed extensive musical program for the High Holy Days.   During the High Holy Days the choir is bolstered by four professional soloists. A cello performance of Kol Nidre is also part of the Yom Kippur observance.

Temple B’rith Sholom’s choir is available to participates at b’nah mitzvah as needed.  Please contact Nicole to discuss musical selections and performance requirements.

Nichol DelGiorno has graced our temple worship services with her professional musical direction and beautiful organ accompaniment. Nichol has become knowledgeable about the service music usage, proper Hebrew pronunciation, and has challenged us to learn new performance techniques.  Nichol has a Master of Arts in Organ Performance from the University of Iowa, and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance, with a cognate field in musicology, will be conferred in August 2018. Currently Nichol is Instructor in Music and College Organist at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She is also the organist and choirmaster at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral.
